About the Recipe
This recipes was one of our family favorites when the kids were growing up. We never told them it was liver, so they were none the wiser as to what this yummy sandwich spread was! All they knew was that they enjoyed it on white bread as a sandwich during the summer months.
1 lb Braunschweiger (also known as Liverwurst or Liver sausage)
1 cup Mayonnaise
1 cup Baled Hay sandwich relish, roughly chopped
1/2 cup sliced Green Onions
Salt and pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients together to form a spreadble paste.
Serve chilled on sliced bread for a sandwich, or on crackers for a quick snack.
